Professor, founder of aircraft factories
Luigi Pascale is an Italian Professor who founded firms for the construction of aircrafts. In 1948 designs and builts his first plane: the P48.B Astore. In 1953 designs and builds the low turbulence wind tunnel at the Aeronautics Buildings Institute of the University of Naples; the device is still actively used and is capable to satisfy the needs of aeronautics industries in the fields of research and testing. In the same year he founded, with his brother Giovanni, the firm Costruzioni Aeronautiche Partenavia S.p.A. that rapidly reaches a good success in the field of general aviation with high levels of production and selling all over the world; in this firm he was manager of the Design Office till 1968 and then president till 1985. In 1998 founds and is sill sole administrator of the “Tecnam Costruzioni Aeronautiche” that produces several microlight planes, having a good selling success all over the world, and builds structural components for civil aircrafts.
He was several times Director of the Aeronautics Buildings Institute and of the department of Aeronautical Design of the University of Naples - “Federico II”.
