Mataix Aracil, Carlos (1880 - 1961)

Carlos Mataix Aracil was a teacher from the Industrial Engineering born 1880. He published several technical works on vectorial calculus, geometry and mechanics. He died in 1961.

Carlos Mataix Aracil was born on March 8th in 1880 in Alcoy. He studied Industrial Engineering at the School of engineering of Barcelona. He graduated in 1903. After finishing his studies he worked for the Valencia Town Hall. In 1908 he obtained the professorship in Calculus and Mechanics at the School of Madrid. He worked as a professor for 42 years. The professor Carlos Mataix published several technical books such as Practical Algebra (1931), Algebraic and Infinitesimal Analysis (1927). General and Trade Arithmetics (1934), among others. He died on July 1st in 1961.
