Description This shows two different ways to trace symmetrical curves. One uses the four-bar linkage, and the other system has a mechanism consisting of seven links and ten revolute joints. The ratios of the link lengths are so adjusted that the curve thus traced is closed and symmetrical. These are one degree of freedom mechanisms.
