The seat is retractable between a standard and a retractable position. When the seat is in retracted position, it has to be capable to limit his bulk in the vehicle passenger compartment.
The squab has a backlash, which allows to pull the seatback down and to have a lower squab position in retracted position than in standard use position. The retractable position is like, such as the seatback most voluminous parts (lumbar supports) take place in the most hollow parts.
The seatback is linked up to the floor by a back and an intermediate connecting rod whose axis form a first deformable quadrilateral. The front and the back connecting rods are inclined in the opposite direction, and their axis form a trapezium. That increases the stability and the wheelbase of the vehicle.
No elements exceed the back in relation to the standard use position. |
