Structure of mechanism |
| Function |
The mechanism presented here has for function to transform a chemical energy (mixture of fuel and air) into mechanical energy (rotation of the brace). To be made, the mixture is sucked up by the translatory movement coming down from the piston in its chamber, then during its ascending phase, a spark is provoked by a candle which has for consequence to bring the mixture in combustion. The translatory movement of the piston is transformed into movement of rotation by the connecting rod which is connected at the same time to the piston and to the brace. The particuliarity of the system presented here, is that it allows of recycled a part of the mixture air-gasoline, through a second cylinder connected with the first one by a hole in the breech. |
