German Engineer. He was born in Offenburg, Germany. He built a triphasic motor precursor of the induction motor.
Friedrich August Haselwander was born in Offenburg, Germany on October 18th in 1859. He studied in Karluhe, Munich and Strasburg. In 1887 He built a triphasic machine precursor of the asynchronous induction motor. In 1920 he is named Doctor Honoris Causa at the Karluhe Technical School. He also worked in the development of internal combustion engines and invented a precursor of the Diesel engine. He died in Offenburg, Germany on March 14th in 1932.
