Structure of mechanism |
| Function |
The mechanism is a rear suspension of a motor vehicle equipped with a control system of the camber angle of the vehicle wheels in a bend. The system aims to cause a slight tilt of the wheels to the inside of the bend to keep a good contact surface between tyres and soil. The tilt of wheels is made possible by the bascule of returns consisting of two connecting rods of different length and mounted on the body by a connection. This bascule of returns is connected to the suspension arms upper and lower, themselves connected to the hub carrier by revolving connections to a single connection’s axis oriented in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. A connecting bar connects the two bascules or returns associated with left and right wheels in the transverse direction of the vehicle. A damper connects the suspension arm upper to the body. The lock of rear wheels is blocked by the connecting rod which is attached at its internal end at the rear of the vehicle body and at its outer end at the hub carrier. |
