Structure of mechanism
Function This is a Beckman CO-LE 80K floor-standing ultra-centrifuge. A cover gives access to the rotor, on which 10ml tubes are placed. A control panel on the top enables the settings to be chosen. Digital display screens show the temperature, the speed (Vmax = 100,000g) and the duration of the centrifuging process.
 

Application
Examples of application Centrifuging enables the separation of the elements of a sample which, depending on their density, will move to the bottom of the tube or remain in the supernatant liquid.
