He was an Engineer born in San Sebastián in 1879. He directed several companies and public institutions such as the School of Engineers of Madrid. He also was a deputy in the congress and former Ministry of Agriculture, Industry and Commerce.
Juan Usabiaga Lasquibar was born on November 15th in 1879 in San Sebastián, Spain. In 1900 he graduated as an Industrial Engineer from the School of Engineering of Barcelona. He then went to Switzerland to complete his studies in the Zurich Polytechnic School. He returned to Spain where he worked for several companies. He moved to Madrid where he started to work as a professor in trains at the School of Engineers. In 1931 he is named director of the school. In 1933 he is named director of the Fábrica de la Moneda y Timbre. In 1934 he is named president of the National Prevision Institute and director of the Techical Studies (Political positions). In 1935 he is named Ministry of Agriculture, Industry and Commerce. He retired in 1936. He died on June 16th in 1953.
