Inventor, designer

He is known for his work “Qiqi tushuo” (Diagrams and explanations of the wonderful machines of the Far West) written with Wang Zheng, a kind of encyclopaedia of European mechanical knowledge in Chinese, based on works of Ramelli, Zonca and Besson.
