Slider 2, rotating about fixed axis D and connected by turning pair E to crank 1, moves along slotted link 3. When crank 1 rotates, slotted link 3 moves along slider 4 which turns about fixed axis A. Thus link 3 has a complex motion, oscillating about axis A and sliding axially. By changing the length B͞C of link 5 and the position of axis B on the fixed upright, various kinds of motion of slotted link 3 can be obtained.
