When links 4, 3 and 7 are set to the distances: x₁=0͞B, x₂=C͞D and x₃=0͞D, the displacement of link 6 is s₆=(x₁ x x₂)/x₃. Thus the mechanism multiplies three factors: x₁, x₂ and 1/x₃.
