Slider 4 is connected by a turning pair to link 5 which, in turn, is connected by a turning pair to link 6. Measuring wheel 7 is mounted at the end of link 6. The number of revolutions of the wheel is proportional to the sought-for integral∫(1/y)dx. Axes of pivots B and C are fixed on the carriage.
