The profile of slot b is made up of two quarters of a circle of radiuses. When link 1 rotates about axis A, link 2, carrying operating claws a, reciprocates with two prolonged dwells which occur during the sliding of pin B. The dwells correspond to the periods when the centres of the quarter circles of radius A͞B coincide with point A.
