Link 7 is connected by turning pair E to slotted link 8 which oscillates about fixed axis F. Pin K of piston rod 2 slides along the slot of link 8. When eccentric 1 and crank € rotate about axis B, pistons 2 and 3 reciprocate in their cylinders. The stroke of piston 2 can be varied by setting lever 4 and locking It as required on quadrant b.
