Pawls 2 turn freely about axes B of disk a and consecutively engage pins b of rack 4 which rolls along fixed surface d on rollers 5. When gear 1 rotates, pawls 2 move rack 4 to the left. Pawls 2 are lifted out of engagement and kept from overturning by fixed cam 3 along whose surface lugs e of the pawls slide.
