Roberto Valturio (or latinized Valturius) was an italian humanist, tratizer and writer. For a long time he served the Dukes of Rimini Sigismondo Malatesta and his son Roberto. Valturius is chiefly known for his treatise on warfare”De re military”, in which there are a lot of descriptions and drawings of war machines.
