To determine the moment of inertia of a flywheel on a diameter of the flywheel two identical additional masses are mu mounted at a distance r from the center S. Then measured the times Ti and T2 the intrinsic angular oscillations of the flywheel without and with additional materials. The additional masses mu can be approximately regarded as a point. Losses can be neglected.
