Structure of mechanism |
Function |
The element performs a reciprocating motion of rotation within the angle B'AB''. The oscillatory movement of the element 1 is transformed, through the elements 2.3 and 4 move back and forth of the crosshead 5. For each complete oscillation of the lever 1, the crosshead 5 makes two complete cycles of movement. The trajectory s travelled by the point D from the crosshead of its lower limit position, shown in the drawing, to its upper limit position is: s=2*(CD-a) |

Authors : François Vandenbon based on a model of I Artobolevski book. Modified by : Miguel PEREZ BORRAJO IFMA (French Institute for Advanced Mechanics) - http://www.ifma.fr Clermont-Ferrand, FRANCE This model is based on a mechanism described by Artobolevskij under number 1507. The mechanism is shown here. The model and all attached items were made within this context. |
