Structure of mechanism |
| Function |
The lengths of the elements of the mechanism satisfy the conditions AB = CD and BC = AD, that is to say that the figure ABCD is a parallelogram. The slide 2 moves in the slide a_a whose axis x_x is the shortest distance e from A which constitutes misalignment mechanism. When the crank I turn, the slide 2 performs a back and forth along the axis x_x, while element 3 oscillates around a fixed axis A, while remaining parallel to the rod 4. |

Authors : ROBLIN Elodie based on a model of I Artobolevski book. Modified by : Miguel PEREZ BORRAJO IFMA (French Institute for Advanced Mechanics) - http://www.ifma.fr Clermont-Ferrand, FRANCE This model is based on a mechanism described by Artobolevskij under number 1509. The mechanism is shown here. The model and all attached items were made within this context. |
