Maurolico, Francesco (1494 - 1575)

Francesco Maurolico was an italian mathematician, architect and astronomer of Sicily. He is remembered for his contributions to the fields of geometry, optics, conics, mechanics, music, and astronomy. He edited the works of classical authors including Heron and Euclides.
