Anthony Colin Bruce Chapman was an influential English design engineer, inventor, and builder in the automotive industry, and founder of Lotus Cars. His knowledge of the latest aeronauticalengineering techniques would prove vital towardsachieving the major automotive technicaladvances he is remembered for. Under his direction, Team Lotus won sevenFormula One Constructors' titles,[4] six Drivers'Championships, and the Indianapolis 500 in theUnited States, between 1962 and 1978.
