Link 4, the bucket head, is suspended from the holding rope at point F. Flexible link 1, the closing rope, is attached to the scoops at point E, a turning pair between the scoops. When closing rope 1 is pulled upward, scoops 2 and 3 are brought together, closing the bucket with the load.
