Kummer, Ernst Eduard (1810 - 1893)

Dt. Mathematiker

Kummer worked on several mathematican fields, for exampel on the theory of numbers and the theory of functions. He became famous for his research on the principle of Fermat, because he got aware of difficulties of recent evidences and pointed them out. Besides he dealt with hyper geometric series, regular prime numbers and the Kummer area.
