Description
Segment gear 1 turns about fixed axis A and meshes with segment gear 2 which turns about fixed axis B. Link 3 is rigidly attached to segment gear 1 and is connected by turning pair C to link 4. Link 5 is connected by turning pairs D and E to link 4 and to segment gear 2. The dimensions of the links comply with the conditions: A͞C=4r₁, D͞C=1.5r₁, E͞D=4.5r₁, A͞B= 1.5r₁, B͞E=0.5r₁ and r₂=0.5r₁, where r₁ and r₂ are the pitch radii of segment gears 1 and 2.
