Professor of rational mechanics
He graduated in Pisa in 1871. He won an international sholarship and he spent four years in Zurich, Dresden, Berlin and London. In 1877 he became professor of rational mechanics at the University of Palermo and in 1879 he moved to the University of Naples, where he remained until his death. He was member and president of the Science Academy of Naples and member of the Pontanian Academy.
