Description
When the force acting on flat spring 1 is increased, lever 2 is turned clockwise by p in 3. Segment gear a at the bottom end of lever 2 meshes w ith p inion 4 on whose shaft slider 5 of rheostat 6 is rig id ly mounted. Lever 2 is held against pin 3 by spring 7. Spring 8 and strap 9, running over roller 10, elim inate backlash between segment gear a and p inion 4. R oller 10 is rig id ly mounted on the shaft of p inion 4.
