Upon an increase in the speed of the engine shaft, the speed of governor body 1, rigidly mounted on the shaft, also increases. Ball weights 2 are arranged in the recesses of body 1 and inner slots of gear 3. When the speed of body 1 is increased, weights 2 are forced outward, turning gear 3 and thereby increasing the ignition advance angle.
