Slotted links 1 and 2 slide in fixed guides p and q whose axes are perpendicular to each other. Slotted link 3 turns about fixed axis A. Pin B slides simultaneously along slots a, b and c of links 1, 3 and 2. The mechanism generates the ratio tan(α)=y/x where α is the angle of rotation of slotted link 3, y is the vertical disphlacement of link 1 and x is the horizontal displacement of link 2.
