French inventor and locksmith.
In 1825 Alexander Fichet, engineer and creative genius, founded "a company dedicated to the protection of the individual against burglary" : the FICHET company, which was just a locksmith whorkshop. He was a famous locksmith in Paris. His fame was such that it provided the crown. He was a member of the Academy of the locksmith industry and the Royal Library. Therefore, it was recognized by his many specific patents for the modern locksmith. At the same time, a manufacturer of refractory products, Auguste Nicolas Bauche, made a breakthrough in protecting the contents of a safe against fire, imagining the first safe and fireproof refractory. He created his own company in 1864: BAUCHE society, which benefits from its success and the reputation it has earned. The July 1st, 1967, the companies Bauche and Fichet merged, combining two well known names and two security sectors. The world leader in the field of global security was created : the group became Fichet-Bauche company co, made of four subsidiaries, including FICHET BUILDING LOCKS (FSB), which sells mechanical locks and electronic door units and alarms.
