Saligny Bridge across the Danube_Construction (1890 - 1895)

Description

The bridge across the Danube is 4088 meters long and 190 meters wide. Its construction, based on Saligny's novel solution, lasted for 5 years (1890-1895). King Carol I of Romania took part at the inauguration. The majestic construction got the name of the king.
