Capillary Electrophoresis System

Funzione	This apparatus is used to produce capillary electrophoresis whose products are detected by measuring the absorption of ultra-violet light or by fluorescence. Digital display screens on the front of the device indicate various real-time parameters (voltage, current...). Samples are placed manually in the carousel.

Applicazione
Esempi di applicazione	This type of electrophoresis is based on the use of a silicon capillary filled with a buffer or gel, and very high voltages. This results in the very rapid migration of the component particles through the capillary. These particles are detected by UV absorption and fluorometry directly in the capillary, thus in a very small volume (some nanolitres of the sample).
