Link 4, oscillating about fixed axis A, is connected by a sliding pair to slider 5 which is driven by crank 1. Crank 1 rotates about fixed axis D. Link 3 is connected by turning fairs B and C to slide 2 and ink 4. When crank 1 rotates, slide 2 has different kinds of mot ion in the forward and return strokes. The kind of motion of slide 2 can be varied by changing the length B͞C of link 3.
