Description
Sliding link 1 rotates about fixed axis A. Sliders 2, 3 and 4 move along link 1. Slider 2 is connected by turning pair K to link 5 which moves in cross-shaped slider 6. Also moving in slider 6 is link 8 which turns about fixed axis A and is connected by turning pair C to link 9. Outmost links 7 and 9 are connected by turning pairs to sliders 3, 10, 4 and 11. Sliders 11 and 10 move along fixed guides z-z and z' -z' . When sliding link 1 rotates, point K describes a hyperbola with the equation x²/(a²-k²/tan²(ϕ)-y²/(a²tan²(ϕ)-k²)=1 where (a, k) = coordinates of fixed point A, ϕ = angle between guides z-z or z' -z' and the positive direction of the x-axis. $1064$LG,Ge$
