Description

The arrangement depends on whether the crane is designed as a so-called hub crane, or whether the support of the boom, etc. takes place only through the column. The turntable cranes (see figure) assume the breakdown torque of the boom
and the vertical loads through a centric to the pivot axis running rail
and a corresponding number of support (mobile) roles, while
the column is mainly used for centering of the system.
