Structura mecanismului

Funcţie This mechanism is a brake system for port crane which has the property to be housed in a rack secured to the ground, and therefore replaces the traditional friction brake. It consists of a deformable parallelogram controlled by an actuator for the translation of the hoof’s frame, a hoof that is vertically controlled and will operate the brake, and a lockable reaction actuator related to the crane. This brake is passive for security reasons.
The functioning is such as in case of release or power failure, the hoof actuator is released and the hoof is taken by gravity on the rack, the actuator of the parallelogram will therefore move along the hoof in order to reach a hollow housing. The descent of the hoof stops the actuator of the parallelogram which is free and creates the blocking of reaction actuator, which will transmit the braking force of the hoof against the rack in the body of the crane.
