The master carpenter H. Beyerlein from Dortmund has a press machine for manufacturing clay bricks applied for a patent in 1873.
The mixed clay is filled into a mould wheel with a diameter of 2.5 metres. A counter-rotating pusher wheel presses the clay into the forms.
Then the clay bricks are pressed out of the forms by using a synchronous rotating cam gear and fall on boards, which are in turn pushed continuously, so that there is sufficient space between the bricks to dry. |
