Aristarchos of Samos (310 d.C. - 230 d.C.)


 
Ancient Greek Astronomer; Heliocentric Theory.

Aristarchos was the first astronomer who proposed the Heliocentric Theory; he evaluated the ratio between the distances from the Earth of the Sun and the Moon was in the range between 18 and 20, while this ratio is really around 400.
