The lengths of the links comply with the conditions: A͞F=B͞C, F͞E=C͞D and A͞B=F͞C= E͞D. The mechanism is a translator in which side AB represents, in a certain scale, the constant component vector and length A͞E represents the arbitrarily given vector in the same scale. Then, also in the same scale, diagonal AD represents the resultant vector of the first two.
