Important industrial entrepreneur from Biscay, Spain. He contributed notoriously to the development of the steel industry in Biscay. He founded the company Echevarría S.A. He was a member of the administration board of Altos Hornos de Vizcaya (An important Steel Factory) and an organizer of the Commerce, Industry and Navigation Chamber in Bilbao in 1886.
Federico de Echevarría y Rotaeche was an important Basque entrepreneur. He was born on August 1st in 1840 in Bilbao, Spain. In 1878 he founded a steel rolling workshop that later became Echevarria Hnos. This company introduced several innovations in laminated products. He founded several companies and held influential positions from which he contributed to the industrial and technological development of Biscay. He was a member of the administration board of Altos Hornos de Vizcaya an important steel factory. In 1886 he participated as an organizer member of the Commerce, Industry and Navigation Chamber of Bilbao. He died on January 30th in 1932.
