Bernardino Baldi, was an Italian mathematician and poet and from 1585 priest and abbot. He knew a lot af languages and particulary classical languages.. He focused also in mechanics and tramslated many classical mechanical works. He is remembered for the commented editions of Aristotle's mechanics and hero's automata.
