Function |
The lengths of the elements of the mechanism satisfy the condition AB=BC=BD. The lengths of elements are in accordance to the adopted ratio, the point D moves according to a straight line “c-c”. The abutments “a” and “b” planned in the construction of the mechanism are necessary to cross the indefinite positions. The movement of the connecting rod “2” can be reproduced by the movement without sliding of the circumference “d”, united of this connecting rod, on the immovable circumference “e”, the ratio of their radius being AB/DC. The complete stroke “s” of the slide “3” is equal to four lengths of the crank “1”. |
