Description
When piston 1 is moved upward by the action of fluid delivered to the bottom end of the cylinder, wedge 2, rigidly mounted on the piston rod, pushes roller 3 and plunger 4 to the right. Pivoted on plunger 4 is rocking member 5 which locates workpiece 6 on its two datum surfaces a and b. After this, piston 7 is moved downward by the action of fluid delivered to the top end of its cylinder, pulling down a tie bolt, attached to the piston rod, and clamp 8 which clamps workpiece 6 against a horizontal locating surface. Workpiece 6 is released in the return strokes of pistons 1 and 7. $3876$LHP,GC$
