The video shows a simulation of the motion of the Stewart-Gough platform. It is a parallel mechanism with 6-DOF. A fixed base platform with 6 telescopic actuators connected to a mobile platform. This layout was first used in the tyre industry and nowadays has several applications, i.e. as a flight simulator positioning mechanism.
