Jesús Alfaro y Fournier was born in Vitoria, Spain, on January 2th in 1895. He began his military career with fourteen years old achieving the title of General of the Navy Engineers Corps Division. He contributed to the development of the Spanish Shipping Industry. For that he was granted with several honors like “La Gran Cruz del Mérito Civil”, “La Gran Cruz de San Hermenegildo” and “La Gran Cruz de Isabel la Católica”. He died in Vitoria, Spain, on June 18th in 1961.
