Funktion	This universal exciter features two vertical glass rods which serve as stands. Two brass rods with wooden handles are attached to their extremities. These rods have brass balls at their ends. One of the wooden handles is missing. Between the two glass rods there is a wooden tray whose height is adjusted by a screw. The rods and the tray are fixed to a wooden base.

Anwendung
Anwendungsbeispiele	This apparatus is used for electrostatic experiments. It was used by future teachers during their studies at the men’s and women’s teacher training colleges, now the IUFM (University Teacher Training Institute) in Clermont-Ferrand.
