Funzione	This device is housed in a wooden case. It comprises a ruler, graduated up to 35cm, at the end of which there is a sliding bar, or cursor. On the cursor, which slides along the ruler, there is a 1/10 vernier scale (to be verified). Two screws enable the cursor to be blocked. This device is used to measure the depth of a cavity of up to 35cm. The cursor is placed level with the upper edge of the cavity, and the ruler is lowered to the bottom. The measurement is then directly read off the vernier located on the cursor.
