Structura mecanismului
Funcţie This is a metal shaft fixed to a support, from which a metallic rod equipped with a knife can oscillate. A cylindrical weight can slide along the rod to alter the period of the pendulum. A stylus attached to the end enables a graphic record of the oscillations. The device is supported by a tripod, which features an electrical connector. The circuit formed by the pendulum and the recorder causes sparks to be produced on the metal-coated paper of the recorder.
 

Aplicaţie
Exemple de aplicare This pendulum was used to make measurements during practical classes for future teachers at the men’s and women’s teacher training colleges in Aurillac (Cantal), now the University Institute of Teacher Training.
