1828 Berlin Participation in the 7th Meeting of the "Society of German Scientists and Physicians" in Berlin during a trip to Europe
1828 Cambridge Babbage gets the Lucas Professor (Lucasion Chair) at the University of Cambridge
1830 "Reflections on the Decline of Science in England"
1831 Because of Babbage's initiative the "British Association for the Advancement of Science" is founded, from which the "Statistical Society of London" comes out of in 1834
