Romeo, Nicola (1876 - 2007)


 
Founder of the Alfa Romeo and of the IMAM.

Italian engineer. Founder of several important mechanical industries in Italy. Among the latter, the IMAM, an aircraft industry that became part of the AerFer then of the Aeritalia and finally of the Alenia Aerospace Industry and founder of the famous Alfa Romeo car factory. The latter won the most mportant car races during the thirties.

1929 Was appointed Senator Of the Kingdom of Italy.
? Founded the Society named IMAM (Industrie Meccaniche Aeronautiche Meridionali = Mechanical and Aeronautical Industries of Southern Italy)
